A very specialized part of my practice is dedicated to face and body feminization, and masculinization for transgendered persons. I do not perform SRS procedures. I have been working with patients from the local, national, and international community since 1998. I have been a supporter of The Chicago Gender Society, and have had the honor of presenting at their Be All conference since 2002. I have contributed a monthly “surgery corner” segment to their society publication, The Primrose, since 2001. I will be presenting at future First Event, and Gold Rush symposiums.

My philosophy is to very much individualize any surgery around your unique anatomy. My goal is to provide you affordable surgery of the highest quality utilizing the most advanced technology in order to better realize your dreams. I do not have a mold that I try to fit you into, and I respect your opinions since I find my patients pretty savvy in hiding their undesirable male or female attributes. I encourage you to talk to my patients that have had similar procedures and I make myself readily available to your needs. I work hard to educate you on the numerous surgical options available and use photographic examples, and the numerous articles that I have written to demonstrate these points. I get great satisfaction and take pride as a surgeon when my skills have allowed one of my patients to “go full time” or made them more secure in their female or male identities.

When I look at my practice, it breaks down that approximately 50% are females, 30% males, and 20% transgender. One may try to argue that since I have not been doing this for 20 years, or that my practice is not 100% transgender - that I cannot be that good at it. I say the proof is in my work. Having an active population of genetic female patients keeps my skills cutting edge in what women want and what works best for them. My military background as a plastic surgeon allowed me to operate on more men then some surgeons do in a lifetime. It was during this time that I learned from those that invented them new cosmetic techniques such as endoscopic brow and facelifting, endoscopic bone remoldeling and sculpting, as well as ultrasonic liposuction. These techniques have steep learning curves and I came to understand how they best work in male patients. I traveled the world giving lectures and performed live surgical demonstrations of these new and advanced techniques. It was an easy jump into face and body feminization and masculinization surgery since I had such an extensive knowledge of advanced cosmetic surgical techniques and how they best worked in males and females.

Surgery can be performed in my AAAHC nationally accredited office based operating room that is gender friendly and private. Hotels to recover in are just minutes away, and we are 3 blocks off of a major interstate. O’Hare airport is a 35 minute cab ride. For out of town patients, we communicate extensively by phone, fax, or e-mail before and after your procedure. Medical clearances from your doctors are obtained to insure the highest degree of safety during your surgery. Procedures that I perform involve the one step biplaner feminizing endoscopic brow lift that advances your scalp forward, decreases forehead height, fills temporal hollowing, raises eyebrows, and shaves and sculpts bone while preserving forehead and scalp sensation. I perform also feminizing rhinoplasty/septoplasty, pure feminizing endoscopic brow lifts with bone shaving, tracheal shave, breast augmention and mastectomy, full face and neck lifts, body sculpting with ultrasonic liposuction, chin and jaw bone sculpting, hair transplants, and cheek, chin, pectoral, buttock and calf implants to name but a few procedures. Your complimentary consultation is just a mouse click away.
